This position, reporting to the Director of Operations, Occupational Medicine and Wellness Services with a dotted line to the Chief Medical Director, is responsible for the standardization of clinical policies and practices across the entire YNHHS Occupational Medicine and Wellness Services enterprise. Serves as a resource to staff. Provides input to the Chief Team Lead or appropriate manager/administrator for the preparation and administration of annual performance evaluations for clinical and clerical support staff members and makes recommendations on hiring , transfers, promotions and dismissals. This position is directly responsible for identifying clinical variation across YNHHS Occupational Medicine and Wellness Services sites, proposing standardized clinical decisions, practices, processes, protocols, and workflows across YNHHS in accordance with industry best practices and guidelines, and assisting YNHHS Occupational Medicine and Wellness Services executives in drafting and implementing revised clinical standards. Actively supports YNHHS and Delivery Network goals, including Patient Experience and Quality Improvement initiatives as assigned. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with key constituents, including retail and employee clients, staff members, and YNHHS Occupational Medicine and Wellness Services Delivery Network leaders. Must have excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, customer service, and supervisory/management skills. Effective, ongoing communication (whether in-person or virtual) with the managing administrators, site Medical Directors, and Chief Medical Director is paramount.

RESPONSIBILITIES Manage administrative needs and provide supervisory support for clinical staff across YNHHS sites Coordinate staff development training to maintain proficiency , educate staff on new equipment and techniques, and maintain continuing education records.
Acts as a mentor for the Chief Team Lead. Oversee staff development programs. Develop and monitor plans for staff competency programs. Adhere to YNHHS/DN policies and procedures pertaining to safety and safety variance reporting. Attend YNHHS meetings, seminars, in-services, and state and national educational programs as applicable.
Ensure internal and external customer satisfaction at YNHHS sites by documenting and acting as a resource for inquiries, suggestions, complaints and compliments
Ensure confidentiality of patient, staff and appropriate management data is maintained. Demonstrate the necessary interpersonal skills and commitment to team building and customer service. Support and encourage staff participation in YNHHS and DN service quality plans and programs , as appropriate.
Cultivate and employ effective relationships with YNHHS team members and stakeholders to facilitate System-wide clinical standardization
Collaborate in developing a highly skilled multidisciplinary team who are utilized effectively.

Responsible for the alignment of various clinical practices across sites, including, but not limited to, adherence to industry regulations and best practices and assistance in standardizing use of the EMR and Occupational Health information technology platform.
Collaborate with Chief Team Lead, DN site/team leads and administrators to analyze current clinical practices and identify discrepancies across sites.
Propose standardized clinical decisions, practices, processes, protocols, and workflows across YNHHS in accordance with industry best practices and guidelines.
Assist YNHHS Occupational Health executives in drafting and implementing revised clinical standards. Provide guidance and feedback to staff on YNHHS clinical policies and procedures . Ensure processes are in place to orient new and per diem staff and students to procedures within the clinical area .
Support strategic initiatives identified through YNHHS and Delivery Network programs Assist with quality improvement activities and compliance with YNHHS and DN policies , procedures and regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as with systems and processes to enhance patient care.
Function as an advocate for Occupational Health, Urgent Care, and Wellness services, as well as YNHHS' and Delivery Network's customer service standards.
As appropriate, work with YNHHS management teams in coordinating activities supporting employee health and retail clients, including but not limited to, PPDs, physicals, respiratory fit testing, and flu vaccines.
Work with Human Resources regarding fitness for duty issues. As appropriate, work with Chief Team Lead to coordinate off-site activities including scheduling of off-site physicals and support of nursing staff assigned to companies .
Maintain active participation in professional organizations. Contribute to weekly YNHHS Occupational Medicine and Wellness Services Executive Group and Clinical Operations meetings.

REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION (number of years and type required to perform the position duties): Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Current Connecticut licensure or RN. Bachelor's Degree in nursing strongly preferred. Master's Degree in nursing strongly preferred EXPERIENCE (number of years and type required to meet an acceptable level of performance): A minimum of five (5) years' experience as an RN plus five (5) additional years supervisory/management experience in a clinical operation, preferably ambulatory care. Occupational Medicine and related EMR experience a plus . Familiarity with Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey workers' compensation and practice standards preferred . Experience with Occupational Medicine practice management software and EMR preferred. Experience management and developing multi-site practices preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, record keeping, multi-tasking, and clinical skills required. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills required. Able to lead a multi-disciplinary team, building positive rapport with staff, physicians, and clients. Able to coach and resolve conflicts tactfully and respectfully between Delivery Networks, staff members, and others. Must be dedicated to building a positive workplace environment at YNHH sites and mutually beneficial relationships across YNHHS. Competency in case managing patients treated at the site regardless of age, disability, sexual preference, gender, and ethnicity. Eligible for certification in audiometric testing, pulmonary function testing, breath alcohol testing and CPR. Must be customer and detail oriented . Maintains current knowledge and skills through continuing education. Continually assesses performance , incorporating new standards and skills when possible. Participates in peer review through department Quality Assurance activities. Serves as role model by adhering to departmental, Hospital, JCAHO, STATE, and Federal regulations, as appropriate. Participates in JCAHO Continuous Readiness activities.
ACCOUNTABILITY (how this position is held accountable for such as goals achievement, budget adherence, or other areas of accountability): Responsible for maintaining the highest quality of care in assigned clinics and setting clinical standards across YNHHS sites. Outcomes measurements of quality care parameters include, but are not limited to, patient satisfaction, client company satisfaction, and clinical outcomes.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must be a licensed RN in the State of Connecticut and hold a valid Connecticut Driver's License.
SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND: Moderate stress related to management issues. Frequent travel to YNHH sites ,Bridgeport Hospital, Greenwich Hospital, and other YNHHS affiliated sites.
