SUMMARY
Performs a wide variety of managerial,
administrative and supervisory duties to ensure operational effectiveness of
the Graduate Medical Education function within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides management and oversight of the
Graduate Medical Education function This includes, but is not limited to:


Monitors
all Accreditation and Compliance requirements for ACGME accredited programs.

Insures
Institutional Compliance with ACGME requirements.

Assists
with site visit preparation and institutional and program document submission
to ACGME

Insures
all residents/fellows have current required registrations in place including: Permit
to Practice

National
Provider Information Number (NPI)

CT
Medical Assistance Program (CMAP)

CT
Controlled Substance Registration for Practitioner (CSRP)

CT
Prescription Monitoring Program (CT PMP)

Oversight
and Management of all Immigrations issues for residents

Liaison
to Immigrations Counsel for all residents on H1B visas

Is
Training Program Liaison (TPL) to ECFMG for all residents on J-1 visas

Insures
all residents on J-1 visas meet requirements for continued sponsorship Insures
all incoming residents on J-1 visas complete documentation in a timely basis
(to arrive in training on-time)

Responds
to frequent requests from the ECFMG regarding J-1 visa holders

Manages
Annual Institutional Review/GME Dashboard

Collects
data from programs, ACGME and other sources throughout the year to update
dashboard

Insures
dashboard is presented at appropriate meetings in a timely fashion to insure
Hospital Board approval

Insures
Institutional Policies as required by the ACGME are in place

Identifies
new policies; insures current policies meet changing requirements

Drafts
policies for review by DIO and approval by GMEC as appropriate

Insures
appropriate posting and/or dissemination to appropriate groups

Insures
programs are aware of required program policies

Provides
guidance to programs regarding policies

Provides
financial oversight of Medical Education

Develops
annual budget for review by DIO and finance

Monitors
monthly reports provided by Finance

Responds
to requests for information by Finance regarding expenses and budget

Reviews/approves
cost center payroll

Functions
as the institutions MedHub (GME information system) Administrator

Institution
liaison with MedHub

Liaison
with Finance to insure accurate information for IRIS cost reporting/reimbursement

Troubleshoots
problems and issues for institution and programs

Provides
guidance and assistance to program coordinators and program directors

Trains,
supervises and reviews performance of House Staff Coordinator

Assists
Chair, Medical Education and DIO with tasks/projects as required

EDUCATION :
Bachelor's degree required. Master\u2019s
degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
Five (5) to Seven (7) years working in
Graduate Medical Education, preferably in a teaching hospital GME office . Excellent
communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
SPECIAL
SKILLS:

Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
work. Willingness and ability to learn Residency Management Information System
(MedHub).
