A CT state licensed hairdresser and cosmetologist to conduct professional personal services to patients suffering from medically induced hair loss, alopecia, and partial hair loss. Will be responsible for evaluating each client and making professional recommendations. Required to service wigs and partial hair pieces, also will cut, style, thin and personalize each wig for client. Required to perform head shaves. Knowledge of synthetic and human hair wigs. Required to keep accurate medical records of hair color and skin regimen routines on file. Also responsible for selling hair, skin, and nail products. Responsible for assisting in ordering supplies, inventory, and advertising.
Responsibilities: 1. Professional Custom Wig Fitting 2. Compassionate, and personal hair loss reccomendations 3. Scheduling of personal services and keeping accurate pateint files 4. Inventory and shop appearance
High School Diploma required. Graduate of a state accredited hairdressing school
5 years as a licensed hairdresser, with 1 year specializing in wig, wig care and/or cancer care.
Valid CT hairdressing license and license cosmetologist preferred.
Ability to provide a positive experience to the clientele by demonstrating caring and sensitivity as well as a practical knowledge of all aspects of hair/wig care.
Responsible for ensuring positive outcomes for professional hair care services.
The ability to interact effectively and compassionately with various personalities in a time of emotional crisis is crucial to the success of this role.
The ability to stand for long periods of time, lift objects overhead as well as the ability to lift 25 pounds or more required.
