This position will support Neuroscience Service line development across YNHHS. In collaboration with Neuroscience administrative and delivery network leadership, this individual will be responsible for the integration and development of the service line signature of care. He/she will facilitate the establishment of operational/financial/outcome metrics, as well as the exchange of information across administrative, physician and clinical leadership . He/she will be responsible for project management activities in the development of the service line across the YNHHS and serve as the liaision to delivery network leadership and support departments. He/she will participate in strategic planning, business plan and program development, and execution of service line initiatives across the YNHHS.
Responsibilities: 1. Network Development 1.1. serve as liaison between Neuroscience service line leadership and YNHHS/YM/external partners 1.2. facilitates establishment and alignment of service line forums and communication across YNHHS 1.3. works with support departments and delivery network leadership in development of service line signature of care 1.4. establishes key indicators and provides ongoing reports of financial/operational/quality/patient and provider metrics to service line and delivery network leadership 1.5. facilitates innovation and execution of service line initiatives in collaboration with service line, delivery network, and physician/clinical leadership 1.6. serves as service line spokesperson at director of administrative leadership, with embodiment of the YNHHS mission, vision and values 1.7. assists stakeholders with analysis of clinical operations, identifies efficiencies, process improvement, and integration across YNHHS in collaboration with leadership 1.8. serves as initial point of contact for Neuroscience service line and facilitates communication throughout YNHHS 2. Strategy and Business Plan Development 2.1. participates in service line strategic planning 2.2. facilitates business plan development activities 2.3. researches market trends and collaborates with OSM and service line leadership in establishing priorities for program development 2.4. organizes forums of key stakeholders, maintains documentation and reports out on service line initiatives at direction of administrative leadership 2.5. maintains knowledge of current/forecasted trends relevant to service line 3. Project management 3.1. assists with organization of service line initiatives and program development 3.2. facilitates program development activities including operational meetings, documentation and communication to internal and external stakeholders 3.3. helps prepare presentations and reports on service line expansion initiatives to YNHHS leadership and stakeholders 3.4. provide administrative support to service line leadership in the development and management of meetings and committee structures 3.5. assists with preparation of budgets, capital processes and programming activities of new service line initiatives 3.6. performs research to support new program development including vendors and in collaboration with Neuroscience engineers 4. Human Resources and management 4.1. manages recruitment, onboarding, training, performance review and disciplinary of direct reports (non-clinical staff) 4.2. serves as role model of YNHHS standards of behavior and represent Neuroscience service line culture in organizational activities
Master's Degree in Health Care Administration or related field. Bachelor of Science in healthcare or business administration or related field required.
Minimum of 10 years experience in health care related organizations. Proven record of successful project management/coordination and exposure to health care organization operations, strategy and business plan development. Demonstrated experience dealing collaboratively across business units in a complex academic medical center environment.
Maintenance of certifications/licensure as relevant
Effective oral and written communication skills; must possess excellent interpersonal skills with ability to foster relationships amongst key stakeholders (service line and delivery network leadership, physician and clinical leadership); successful project management skills and knowledge of health care management and service line operations; excellent analytical skills and proficience with excel, data management and reporting.
Accountable to service line administrator and Vice President;
Ability to perform high level critical thinking, complex decision making and foster communication among varied stakeholders; demonstrate effective time management and execution in setting of competing priorities. Must be comfortable with matrix reporting and change management.
Ability and willingness to travel throughout YNHHS service delivery region
