Summary:
Working under the general direction of the Revenue Cycle Financial Experience Coordinator is responsible for supporting aspects of patient financial experience projects and other initiatives. Researches, accumulates and evaluates all pertinent operational and financial data regarding assigned initiatives. Works closely with projects teams and operational leaders to secure technology requirements, financial data, resources, documentation, testing scenarios and manages communications about initiatives. Participates in project planning by conducting research, providing relevant data and reports necessary for decisions, tracking costs and schedules and helps to identify project risks. Is prepared to communicate and present project status when required.

Responsibilities:
  • 1. Works directly with members of the operational leadership teams to assist with ongoing projects, quality assurance, data collection and general administrative duties related to ongoing initiatives.
  • 2. Prepares data, reports, analyses and presentations utilizing all Microsoft Office Software products including Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Seeks out other forms of presentation tools available to enhance delivery, making more effective and impactful.
  • 3. Researches, accumulates and evaluates all pertinent operational and financial data regarding assigned initiatives. Develops financial summary with operating and management personnel for review and evaluation by executive leaders.
  • 4. Participates in the development of detailed project plans to ensure the efficient and timely implementation of process improvements. Keeps up with modifications to project plan and schedules changes to identify risks in reaching milestones and deliverables.
  • 5. Liaisons between operational managers and systems areas to investigate, conduct research and help develop solutions to work flow and /or systems issues.
  • 6. Coordinates vendor demonstrations when external products are involved and ensures appropriate attendees related to project are included.
  • 7. Responsible for distributing project plan and communicates issues with any missed targets or deadlines.
  • 8. Carry out primary and secondary research efforts to provide key insights to support team decision making.
  • 9. Coordinates all specific activities assigned to ensure strategic goals are achieved.
  • 10. Supports the project by effectively tracking project issues and resolutions to ensure timelines are met.
  • 11. Ensures issues are clearly presented, options frames appropriately and prompts recommendations so a course for resolution is established. Helps to make updates and maintains project risks, assumptions, actions, issue logs on behalf of operational project team.
  • 12. Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • 13. Communication
  • 13.1. Interacts and interfaces closely with the operational managers, senior leadership, ITS, clinical departments and vendor representatives.
  • 13.2. Positively promotes departmental initiatives and motivates end-users and others, and serves as an effective liaison between the project and department managers.
  • 14. Teamwork
  • 14.1. Works as an effective member of the overall project team facilitating open communication and issue resolution.
  • 14.2. Establishes positive relationships with all operational leaders both directly and through established project structures and facilitates open communication and direction setting.
  • 14.3. Demonstrates strong relationships with all team members and provides a model for others to follow.

    EDUCATION:
    Bachelors degree in Finance, Healthcare Management or related field of study is required .

    EXPERIENCE:
    Some experience preferably in healthcare or related financial management office is preferred (internships will be considered as experience).

    SPECIAL_SKILLS:
    Ability to work with tight deadlines and high pressurized environments. Good experience with MS suite - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, Publisher a plus. Excellent communication skills, able to work from own initiative, and to work with minimal guidance. Proactive, self-driven approach, analytical thinking and problem solving abilities. Excellent organizational/ administration skills. Able to manage multiple priorities and follow through delivery of work without step by step instructions.

    COMPLEXITY:
    Knows and utilizes sound reasoning to support decisions, identify risks and helps develop mitigation plans to motivate project teams and drive results. Exhibits superior listening skills and ability to analyze content thoroughly and quickly. Is highly engaged and has strong public presentation skills.


    PHYSICAL_DEMAND:
    Must have the ability to travel to various sites across the health system.
