This position manages critical projects across the ambulatory care platform, and partners with leadership in the physician enterprise (primarily Yale Medicine and Northeast Medical Group). He/she supports, represents, and provides information for executives across a complex organizational structure. He/she is responsible for managing strategic initiatives and keeping ambulatory projects on track.
Projects cross the YNHHS Physician Enterprise: Yale Medicine, YNHH Clinical Service Lines, NEMG, and Community Physicians
Projects span many departments within YNHH: IT, FM&D, Marketing, Human Resources, Finance
Ambulatory Sites include: Old Saybrook, Shoreline Medical Center, North Haven Medical Center, Primary Care Centers on campus and at 150 Sargent Drive, One Long Wharf, all YNHH hospital based Ambulatory Care
Responsibilities: 1. Ensures that projects and initiatives are completed diligently and on time. Works with leaders and executives across teams to enhance collaboration, information sharing, and development of goals and objectives. 2. Oversees and guides the development and analysis of performance data (patient experience, financial, patient access, capacity utilization) to manage applicable service lines. 3. Ensures the continued viability of programs through sound fiscal strategic leadership by supporting senior leadership in decision making, and overseeing the reporting and monitoring of organizational performance metrics. 4. Grows and cultivates a high performance organizational culture by partnering with Human Resources to implement recruitment, training, and retention. 5. Develops policies and procedures, status documents, workflow diagrams in conjunction with senior leadership. 6. Provides direction and oversight to departments/functions/vendors that support Ambulatory Care service lines (Finance, ICG, JDAT, external consultants). 7. Represents senior leadership at meetings as needed. 8. Prepares research, presentations, and talking points for Ambulatory Care leadership. 9. Facilitates communication and works closely with the leadership and executive management team in a timely and efficient manner 10. Tracks, monitors and follows the progress of projects, action items, strategies that emanate from Ambulatory Care leadership. 11. Ensure that appropriate follow-up actions (meeting and communications to stakeholders) are taken. 12. Serves as project manager for projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and related Master's degree required.
Strong operational experience with at least two years in leadership roles.
