The Clinical Manager of Surgical Advanced Practice Providers will provide clinical and administrative support for
Physician Assistants in the department. The Clinical Manager will also work clinically to supplement the activities of
the other Advance Practice Providers as needed. The Clinical Manager will report administratively to the Program
Director, Surgical Services and work in close collaboration with administration and leadership for the department (s)
of assignment. Administrative responsibilities will be approximately 25% of the position, and clinical duties 75% of
- 1. Administrative
- 1.1 Recruitment: Screens candidates, reviews applications. Coordinate interviewing process/ hires new staff
in collaboration with HR and department leadership
- 2. Operational
- 2.1 Ensures compliance with mandatory training
- 3. Education
- 3.1 Identifies information needs of team members, patients and families. Provides related teaching and
education to Mid-Level staff
Bachelor of Science degree and graduation from an approved Physician Assistant Program. Certified as a Physician
Assistant by the National Board of Medical Examiners.
Minimum of three years of related experience in the specialty area of assignment in a hospital environment .
Minimum of 1 year supervisory/administrative experience preferred.
Work independently with minimal supervision, develop and lead programs, foster a positive work environment. Strong
initiative and excellent leadership skills.
