Responsibilities

  • 1. Manages the Hydro Therapy area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the whirlpool area so that the best possible patient care may be provided to the patient.
    • 1.1 Stocks linen and Central Sterile supplies in an orderly manner by 2:00 noon each day, as observed by the supervisor or designee
  • 2. Performs Transport Associate responsibilities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the department so that the best possible patient care may be provided to the patient.
    • 2.1 Monitors transport schedule on an ongoing basis, and signs up for patients at least onehalf hour in advance, with no more than two () variances during the month, as observed by the supervisor/designee (Exceeds standards - anticipates potential problems and attempts to resolve in a constructive manner)
  • 3. Performs Rehab Gym Associate responsibilities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the department so that the best possible patient care may be provided to the patient.
    • 3.1 Clarifies assignment daily (Rehab/Gym, pedi gym, transport, hydro) with supervisor/designee in the AM and notifies 8-8 team members as observed by the supervisor/designee Consistently assists on transport if not needed in the gym
  • 4. Performs various department related duties in the core through initiative as assigned by the supervisor/designee in order to contribute to the efficient operation of the department.
    • 4.1 Covers for other Associates needed in a pleasant and efficient manner daily, as observed by the supervisor/designee (Exceeds standard Coverage is consistently performed independently)
  • 5. Performs YPB associate's responsibilities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the outpatient clinic so that the best possible patient care may be provided to the patient.
    • 5.1 Stocks linen and Central Sterile supplies in an orderly manner by 2:00 Noon each day, as observed by the supervisor or designee
  • 6. Performs Pedi Gym Associate responsibilities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the department so that the best possible patient care may be provided to the patient.
    • 6.1 Clarifies assignment daily (rehab gym, pedi gym transport, hydro) with supervisor/designee in the am and notifies pediatric team members as observed by the supervisor/designee Automatically and consistently assists on transport if not needed in the gym

Qualifications

EDUCATION


High school graduate.


EXPERIENCE


One (1) to two (2) years of patient care experience.


SPECIAL SKILLS


Job requires dexterity to perform support services for the therapist. Moderate amount of physical effort required, including (1) intermittent sitting, standing (may be constant at times depending on assignment), lifting, bending, and pushing/pulling, (2) constant walking at times (depending on assignment), and (3) occasional heavy lifting (30-50 lbs). Must be able to maintain a busy pace throughout the day. Must be able to accurately read and utilize metric measurements, calibrate and report findings on equipment, setup and maintain a sterile/clean field. Able to apply infection control precautions to multiple situations.
