EDUCATION
High School Graduate
EXPERIENCE
3-5 years in Safety/Security field or equivalent desired.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Ability to operate access control systems and security based software programs to monitor campus activity and take corrective actions with system alarms. Ability to operate video and audio surveillance equipment, paging and radio communications equipment. Must have a valid driver's license and successfully complete a background check to determine absence of criminal history and convictions. Certification in CPR and Automated External Defibrillation preferred. State of Connecticut Certification as a Security Officer.
PHYSICAL DEMAND
Exposure to inclement weather and Potential exposure to hazardous conditions and materials during emergency conditions. ? Must be able to climb (8) flights of stairs under stressful emergency conditions, carry heavy objects, and restrain disruptive, disturbed, or combative patients. Must be able to cope with stressful situations. Moderate to excessive walking with some bending and stooping.
