- 1. Design, build, administer and assign Nursing on-line learning through the LMS at YNHH.
1.1 Collaborate with Nurse Educators and Subject Matter experts to plan and meet educational requirements.
1.2 Builds on-line courses utilizing best practice principles of on-line learning in educational design utilizing LMS software most efficiently and effectively.
1.3 Ensure accuracy of online content prior to publishing through testing and verification.
1.4 Manage the online accurate and relevant course catalog and files.
1.5 Assign courses to appropriate groups in collaboration with subject matter experts.
1.6 Provide support and trouble-shooting related to complex course design.
1.7 Run completion reports as needed to support the needs of nursing.
1.8 Collaborates with the Manager of Core Nursing Education LMS to anticipate challenges based on request for development and revisions of coursework.
1.9 Attends regular training to ensure competency
1.10 Collaborates with YNHHS Institute for Excellence E-learning experts.
1.11 Explores innovative internal and external technology solutions to serve our organization through networking, vendors and conference attendance.
- 2. Provide support for Nurse Educators with a technology focus
2.1 Collaborates with Education Specialists to support the Nursing Competency Center processes including but not limited to education, building, electronic management, and reporting.
2.2 Collaborate with educators to explore and implement innovative technology including use of : video, audience response systems, and interactive technology to enhance engagement, improve cost and value and support learning.
Minimum of a Bachelor?s Degree in Educational Technology, Information Technology or HealthCare related field. Advanced classes in adult learning and instructional design beneficial.
Previous adult education or staff development experience, Learning Management System administration or similar system experience desired. Proficiency in MS Office applications, e-Learning development tools/authoring software, in-person and virtual classroom applications preferred. Basic HTML coding preferred.
Excellent organization and detail oriented. Proven ability to manage simultaneous projects to meet business goals and objectives. Ability to coordinate with diverse teams. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to deliver clear, concise information. Highly technology literate. Innovative, patient and professional. Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment.
Works in an office setting. Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time and work at a computer.
