Develops, implements, updates and maintains Respiratory Department databases, billing and patient charges and supply inventory. Formats computer reports based on input from supervisor. Ensures that all billing and charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis for monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Responsibilities

  • 1. Maintain data monitoring and volume tracking for the department to ensure financial viability.
    • 1.1 Review daily the appropriate EPIC reports to ensure timely charging of procedures and notify appropriate clinical personnel for modifications.
  • 2. Maintain Departmental clinical equipment and supply inventory.
    • 2.1 Develop and revise inventory templates in collaboration with the purchasing department.
  • 3. Maintain employee department database.
    • 3.1 Maintain and update weekly all staff records e.g paid time-off, absenteeism, tardiness and annual PPD compliance.
  • 4. Provides operational support to Respiratory Therapy Services; Pulmonary Function and Bronchoscopy.
    • 4.1 Create clinical documentation downtime forms in collaboration with department manager/designee as needed.
  • 5. Demonstrates appropriate handling of medication in accordance with the following guidelines.
    • 5.1 Removes medication(s) from the pneumatic tube system sent from the Pharmacy or Hospital Supply to the unit/patient care area.
  • 6. Provides operational support to Center for Sleep Medicine
    • 6.1 Maintain employee files for Sleep Technologists re: credentials, health records, license (as appropriate), hospital and contracted company competencies.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

 

Associate Degree Required; preferably Business Administration. Bachelors Degree prefer.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum of 2-3 years of Office Administration Experience; specifically in Health Care Operations.

 

HOURS

 

Monday through Friday. 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

 

Excellent computer skills including knowledge of Windows XP, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access Excellent communication skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi task required Bilingual skills preferred- (Spanish)

 

PHYSICAL DEMAND

 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. They are occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. They must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. They are occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Incumbents as well as external and internal applicants who become disabled must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without the assistance of reasonable accommodation as determined on a case by case basis.
