Job Description

Overview

Answers main telephone service for the agency. Clerical back-up as needed. Reports directly to agency Personnel Manager.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Answers main phone, transfers calls to appropriate extension or voice mail.
  • 2. Communicates with answering service.
  • 3. Greets visitors.
  • 4. Assists in the preparation and mailing of 485?s.
  • 5. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, ACCESS, Word and Outlook.
  • 6. Receives and sorts mail.
  • 7. Clerical support for HR and Admin and Clinical department, folding, stuffing envelopes, alphabetizing, and organizing.
  • 8. Other clerical functions as assigned.
  • 9. Models appropriate professional appearance and behavior.
  • 10. Projects a positive attitude and enthusiasm about the agency mission, philosophy and policies.
  • 11. HIPAA Access Level 4.

Qualifications

EDUCATION


High school graduate with at least 3 years experience handling a multi-line telephone system. Ability to triage calls appropriately. Light typing, alphabetizing, word processing, and data entry. Remains calm and displays a positive attitude at all times. Clear speaking voice, courtesy, and tact. Satisfactory work references.


SPECIAL SKILLS


Light to medium work. Constant handling of up to 10 pounds to occasional handling of 35 pounds. Clear vision and hearing required. Constant sitting.
