The position reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting and coordinates accounting and contract administration relative to the SRC Neuro-Science tower development and construction activities.

Responsibilities

  • 1.¬†Assist with preparation and distributions of all contract documents. Setup and maintain appropriate databases for all contracts and subcontractors, including: Entering contracts, change orders and insurance information, process all payments to subcontractors and construction vendors, track and update as necessary all retention activity and track all budget revisions. Research all billing difference. Monthly G/L and A/P database maintenance. Track Purchase Orders. Coordinator vendor set-up. Establish expense and construction in progress modules and consolidate: a. General Construction b. Architectural c. Equipment and Furniture d. Legal e. Salaries and Benefits f. Retainage g. Capitalized Interest Prepare the monthly construction loan draw packages for submission to lenders. Generate and maintain monthly construction reports for management review.Working with PM staff and budget analyst to prepare accrual entries for income and expenses at month end

Qualifications

EDUCATION


Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. CPA or Master's degree in accounting or other finance background preferred.


EXPERIENCE


Minimum of five (5) years' accounting experience working in a construction accounting capacity or other relevant experience is required and substantial experience in the preparation and interpretation of financial reports. Solid experience in computerized financial applications is necessary.


SPECIAL SKILLS


Excellent analytical and communication skills. Strong personal computer background. Ability to research and interpret accounting and health care industry standards.
