Responsible for the development and execution of the strategic business plan for areas of accountability. Oversees needs analysis processes. Responsible for conducting staffing and business risk assessment for areas of accountability. Ensures that client groups' needs are met through the effective use of technology. Works with senior leadership to define the vision of the ITS department. Advises the senior level operational team on information requirements and uses of data in decision making. Leads process design, understands, adheres to, administers and enforces policies, procedures, guidelines and technical specifications.
Prior experience with Enterprise Imaging Applications required. The ITS Director - Enterprise Imaging Applications, in conjunction with operational counterparts in Yale Medicine and Yale New Haven Health System, will be responsible for setting the overall direction of Enterprise Imaging across the organization. Successful candidates will demonstrate the following:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in computer science or related disciplines; training/experience in systems analysis, project management, and user relations.
7-10 years of progressive, relevant experience in IT required with a minimum of 2-3 years in an IT management position
Previous participation on multidisciplinary, high-performance work teams/groups. Demonstrated ability to successfully develop and implement new technology and processes. Experience developing staffing roadmaps. Competency in project management and effective management of resources in the execution of multiple projects. Proven initiative, good judgment, and demonstrated ability to achieve results. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communications skills. Demonstrated excellence in customer service and relationship building.
Must be willing to travel and operate out of the various YNHHS campuses.
