Overview

Provides operational, strategic, administrative, and financial support to the Medicine Service Line Leadership. Responsible for the oversight and management of Service Line operations, logistics, grant funding, and strategic business plans. Responsible for data analysis of Service Line operations,. outcomes, and metrics to facilitate efficiencies and effectiveness of services provided. Reports findings and discusses action plans with Medicine Leadership. Assists leadership with the development and implementation of new programs, performance improvement initiatives, and annual/multi-year strategic business plans within the Service Line. Assists Medicine Service Line with the development and executive of Service Line vision, goals, and plans consistent with the organization's strategies and policies. Maintains a formal reporting relationship with the Medical Director and Executive Director and strong collaborative relationship with Clinical Redesign, Financial Planning, and Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Represents the Medicine Service Line and develops collaborative working relationships with administrators, physicians, and department leaders to promote the Medicine Service Line thereby ensuring goals and objectives are met.
    • 1.1 Serves as an internal and external consultant providing administrative support.
  • 2. Maintains financial responsibility for the Medicine Service Line operating, capital, and shared services budgets and coordinates with Finance.
    • 2.1 Participates in Medicine Service Line strategies to ensure the financial well-being of the organization and how the Medicine Service Line's clinical operations impact the overall financial state of YNHH.
  • 3. Maintains oversight of data management and reporting for the Medicine Service Line.
    • 3.1 Provides leadership, guidance, and direction to the Medicine Service Line leaders and staff for project and data management related to strategic planning, program development, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • 4. Service Excellence, Process Improvement, and Education.
    • 4.1 Identifies and analyzes trends in service excellence and ensures accountability for adherence to YNHH Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

 

Bachelor's of Science degree required, MBA preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Five (5) years of management, finance, or project management experience required, healthcare experience preferred. Knowledge of operations, logistics, patient billing, and information management systems.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

 

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with ability to exercise creativity and initiative in making recommendations. Ability to work collaboratively and independently with demonstrated good judgment. Expertise in data collection and process improvement techniques.

 

Additional Information
