The Web Technical Coordinator will assist in the strategic and technical development, testing, execution and measurement of a broad range of digital initiatives in an effort to increase brand awareness, generate inbound traffic and drive patient volume. This individual should be accustomed to running digital projects/campaigns that ensures the best experience for end users.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Responsible for technical maintenance, development and hands-on quality assurance work within all Yale New Haven Health associated digital properties including the writing of test plans, writing test code, regression and stress testing and managing release cycles. Assures cross-browser compatibility and understands design restraints with a proven understanding of ecommerce integration and social networking best practices is essential.
  • 2. Participates in evaluation and recommendation of digital product development and enhancement requests from internal staff and clinical teams.
  • 3. Responsible for SEO performance and WCAG compliance.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

 

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, Master's degree preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum 5+ years' experience in developing and programming for web and interactive media Minimum 5+ years of software quality assurance experience Minimum 5+ years of functional and backend testing of commercial websites and backend applications Experience with Atlassian Confluence, JIRA, and JIRA Service Desk Familiarity with source code, version management, and code deployment standards

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

 

Strong knowledge of a SDLC and SQA methodology as well as experience testing on an Agile team Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem solving skills, test resource planning and test scheduling skills Ability to produce effective software test plans and test cases High level understanding of design/development methodologies and project management concepts Ability to work effectively and produce consistent results with minimum supervision Strong communication, leadership skills, work ethic, positive attitude & excellent collaboration skills Expert in Sitecore content management system. Possess high proficiency in HTML5, CSS, ASP, PHP, .Net, JavaScript, ActionScript, dynamic content, Agile, Adobe Creative Suite, web analytics, SEO and WCAG best practices. Broad knowledge and advanced skills in visual design, information architecture, user interface, and a solid understanding of enabling technologies required. Self-motivated, excellent communications skills. Ability to follow direction and identify when to step up and lead. Thrives in multidisciplinary teams, yet produces conceptual solutions independently if needed. Must demonstrate a proven ability to formally present and articulate ideas effectively to team members, clients and employees across all levels of YNHHS and have strong visualization and prototyping skills. Able to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders is a must. Excellent communication skills, including advanced writing and editing skills attention to detail and superior project management abilities are required in order to be successful in this position. Leads projects and understands internal/external client's business and communication goals, and translates them into unique creative solutions. Must have the ability to learn new software, emerging technologies and practices to maintain relevancy as a developer within digital space. Familiarity of digital audio and video production a plus
