Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Corporate Supply Chain, the Director, Value Analysis leads VA team functions within and from the Supply Chain Services department with responsibility for achieving supply expense management initiatives and targets utilizing the value analysis process. The Director, Value Analysis leads all value analysis structures across the organization. The Director will develop and execute a structured approach that will maximize our application of Supply Chain data analytics and clinical evidence leading to best in class efficiency, product standardization and utilization. This position will require excellent organizational skills, comprehensive medical product knowledge, impeccable communication skills and a genuine commitment to excellence in program development ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for developing leading a system-wide value analysis process with the goal of providing high quality, efficient and cost-effective service; this process requires the establishment of and adherence to a streamlined method for standardizing and monitoring product/service selection, utilization and costs Provides clinical and strategic expertise that facilitates supply expense management while continuously improving quality, safety and satisfaction Actively works with members of the health care team and system teams to assist them with product selection and conversions, which includes listening to concerns, mediating user issues with manufacturers, and following up on product quality concerns Takes a lead and facilitation role with local, regional and national GPO organizations and their respective offerings related to supply contracts Serves staff as both an educator and mentor on the value analysis process; works strategically and tactically to facilitate and identify, analyze, decide and implement best practices and expense management initiatives Makes significant contributions to Corporate Supply Chain from a price, quality and service perspective Working with the Executive Director, Corporate Supply Chain, takes an active leadership role with executive leadership, physicians, educators and clinicians on proactive supply chain management strategies to achieve excellence in supply chain

EDUCATION
Bachelor degree in a business or clinical discipline. Master's Degree Preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Ten years of progressively responsible supply chain / value analysis experience is required Five years of progressive supervisory experience required Value Analysis management or consulting experience in a large, operationally complex health system is not required but preferred
SPECIAL SKILLS
Ability to organize resources and establish priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to navigate across departments and delivery networks to achieve results. Demonstrated ability to successfully resolve complex problems across multiple departments and/or delivery networks. Serves as the department?s subject matter expert and resources in area of expertise (patient care, finance, operations etc.)
