Job Description

Consults, facilitates, and assesses the development needs of managers and directors and their teams across the YNHHS. Provide solutions which include executive coaching, team-building, succession management, change management and organizational development. With guidance, provide organizational assessments and solutions to address business needs. Comfortable working with members leaders up to the executive director level. Able to work effectively with all of the Delivery Network Leadership teams.



  • 1. Provide tactical input on design/development of organization development, training and development solutions and programs for the health system.
  • 2. With direction from the Executive Director of Leader Continuity and Talent Development, provide Delivery Network support to managers and directors in succession management and development planning.
  • 3. Provide individual coaching to managers and director to impact his/her leadership effectiveness and have direct impact on their business goals.
  • 4. Synthesize psychometric assessments to support leader self-awareness, identify development opportunities to better align development and business goals and increase leader effectiveness.
  • 5. Support internal/external projects with guidance from Senior Learning and Development Consultants and/or Institute for Excellence leadership team.
  • 6. Build, maintain and share knowledge about the tools and resources available for colleagues to use as they increase their own skills to better engage leaders. Demonstrate an ability to transfer knowledge in support of team development and leader effectiveness.
  • 7. Align and support efforts to assess and measure effectiveness of learning initiatives and ROI.
  • 8. Consult with delivery network leadership to customize and deliver development programming for their unique needs including team off-site and other developmental events.
  • 9. With direction, support senior leaders? efforts to assess, design, develop and deliver interventions using structured change management approaches to transform organizations. Apply research and increasing experience to understand individuals, business systems, and their interactions.
  • 10. Design and develop instructional mediums for various competencies using instructional design principles (e.g., blended learning, webinars).
  • 11. Consult and support HR Business Partners on various projects (e.g., organizational development, consulting, teambuilding and coaching).



MA or MS Degree required, with major coursework in Human Resources Management, Business Management, Organizational Psychology, Instructional Management, or Organizational Development.


Minimum of 5+ years of related experience. OE/OD background with consultation skills that is able to support leader goal/objectives. Experience facilitating and managing change on a corporate or system-wide level. Experience both in implementing leadership development programs and other learning initiatives. Establish efforts to develop a culture that embraces and leverages a model of life-long learning and advancement. Demonstrated experience in developing others in executive or management development, developmental education, counseling, coaching, or a related field. Successful experience in identifying performance gaps/areas for improvement, as well as implementing appropriate interventions. Consultative and project management skills including the management of vendors. Knowledge of adult learning principles and coaching and instructional design methodologies. Experience implementing all phases of large-scale projects.


Coaching certification preferred.

Must be able to travel to all Delivery Networks within the YNHHS.
