The Registered Nurse practices within the Patient and Family Centered Care Model will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients, coordinate ancillary staff and collaborate with interdisciplinary health care team.

The Emergency Department at Greenwich Hospital is committed to providing high-quality patient-centered care to our surrounding communities. Servicing portions of Connecticut and lower Westchester County, Greenwich is a preferred healthcare organization because of its high level of dedication in upholding a culture of safety. Our Emergency Department team is a group of highly qualified and skillful individuals consisting of RN’s, nursing technicians, physician assistants, and board certified physicians who are committed to maximizing the patient experience. We evaluate and treat over 42,000 patients a year and have dedicated areas of the department to facilitate patient flow and throughput. Our Behavioral Health Unit, located inside the Emergency Department, is staffed with trained nurse clinicians and nursing resource assistants that are experts in patient de-escalation techniques. Patients with chest pain are expedited through our Clinical Decision Unit to ensure the appropriate cardiac evaluation, testing, and treatment. Greenwich Hospital is embarking on an exciting journey with our state of the art Emergency Department Renovation project, and we are looking for dynamic individuals to join our team committed to nursing excellence.

In our Emergency Department, you will hear the strong voice of nursing. The value of teamwork goes above and beyond bedside tasks that the staff diligently and effortlessly perform.
