The Patient Screener/Interviewer will be responsible for conducting face-to-face and telephone surveys with individuals who will received services through Project Access-New Haven (PA-NH). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a local nonprofit organization that is providing needed healthcare services to underserved individuals living in the Greater New Haven area, as well as contribute to a vital program evaluation/health services research initiative. The Patient Screener/Interviewer will be directly involved in the evaluation of PA-NH and our unique service delivery model.
Graduation from high school required. Enrollment in college degree program (sociology, human services, public health, psychology) preferred. Background or interest in healthcare, public health, social services, health services research, program evaluation, or survey methods preferred, but not required.
Ideal candidate will have experience or exposure working with diverse populations in a community setting.
Bi-lingual English/Spanish required. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, and be able to work independently with regular support and supervision from Project Access of New Haven staff. Position requires flexible weekday hours as well as some evenings and/or weekends. Basic computer skills and ability to document progress in an electronic format also needed.
Bilingual (Spanish-English) required.
