Responsible for directing all activities related to the Logistical Operations Department to include the acquisition ,

inventory, distribution and recovery of equipment at YNHH. Ensures the environment of care is in a constant state of

regulatory readiness. This position has regular and daily contact with all peer positions and subordinate positions, as

well as with System department managers (customers), finance department managers, VP level, clinical and

physician staff and Human Resources

Responsibilities

 

1.Responsible for directing all activities related to the Logistical Operations Department to include the

acquisition, inventory, distribution and recovery of equipment at YNHH.

2. Responsible for operating within levels of approximately $4 million in combined salary and non-salary budget.

3. Responsible for meeting hospital business plan objectives and quality improvement initiatives.

4. Responsible for the performance and service schedules of a large and diverse staff.

5. Responsible for supporting the attainment Supply Chain Savings Targets for YNHH

6. Responsible for Ensuring the environment of care is in a constant state of regulatory readiness.

 

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.

EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) to eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain distribution, material handling and

mail distribution programs in healthcare facilities.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Demonstrates a high degree of supervisory skills and ability. Knowledgeable of technical aspects of Logistical and

supply chain operations in a healthcare environment. Able to effectively use MS office products.

ACCOUNTABILITY:

Responsible for operating within levels of approximately $4 million in combined salary and non-salary budget.

Responsible for meeting hospital business plan objectives and quality improvement initiatives. Responsible for the

performance and service schedules of a large and diverse staff .

COMPLEXITY :

Understands cause and effect in relationships between clinical and support services operations .Regularly meets

with hospital managers to change, add, evaluate, or correct services levels. Reviews and reports hospital department

charges for mail, medical gases and medical supplies with and for hospital managers . Coordinates supply

distribution activities with vendors. Consistently exercises independent judgment. Implements system Supply Chain

policy at the site.

 

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMAND:

Ability to move through an ever expanding campus, primarily on foot. Ability to lift boxes and equipment under 40

lbs. Ability to push or pull wheeled carts and equipment as necessary.
