Under the direction of the Director of Operations at Smilow Cancer Hospital the position of Program Manager will be responsible for the operational management of the Screening and Prevention Program, The incumbent is a key member of the leadership team developing the vision as well as strategic planning
Bachelor degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Sciences or related field; Master's degree in Healthcare administration or related field or enrollment in a related Master's degree program is strongly preferred.
With a Master's degree: A minimum of two years of progressively responsible work experience in a healthcare setting. With a Bachelor's degree: A minimum of five years of progressive, professional work experience. Oncology experience is required. Proven track record of accomplishments in project management and program development in healthcare. Experience in working with physicians and members of the medical community to develop and implement cancer screening activities.
1. Substantial knowledge of NCNN guidelines, USPTF, ASCO, and other national guidelines on screening. 2. Sufficient knowledge to recognize important clinical outcome requirements, cost containment, and regulatory compliance. 3. Sufficient knowledge on private and government payer regulations on screening activities. 4. Intermediate to advanced computer skills including Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Access, Project Management creation and formatting of complex tables. 5. Experience identifying and writing grant applications. 6. Ability to integrate research into program development timelines and deliverables.
This position is part of Smilow's Screening & Prevention Program under the Center for Community Engagement and Health Equity. They will work closely with the Director - Administration and the Associate CEHE Director for Cancer Screening to create a process that will direct screening services across the health system and in the community settings
