Under the supervision of the Lab Director, performs technical/clinical and research duties independently. Also interfaces with research and ancillary components of the IVF Program.

Responsibilities
- 1. Procedures:
- 1.1 Collection and preparation of oocytes for insemination to include oocyte mircoscopic identification, cleaning, distribution in dishes and insemination. Analysis and preparation of sperm speciman for insemination or for ICSI (Intracytoplasmic sperm injection). This includes analysis and processing of fresh and cryopreserved semen specimens as well as the processing of fresh and cryopreserved specimens surgically obtained by epididymial aspiration or testis biopsy. Assessment of fertilization and zygote quality following insemination. Daily assessment/grading and handling of embryos through Day 6 of in vitro culture.
- 2. Advanced Procedures:
- 2.1 Under the director of the Lab Director, assists in data collection from patient charts, statistical analysis, data organization and presentation at institutional, local, national or international meetings.
- 3. Documentation:
- 3.1 Independently manages various various data elements.
- 4. Quality Control:
- 4.1 Monitors equipment reagents, media, and work environment by following quality control guidelines.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in a biological science.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three years experience in a clinical laboratory setting performing embryology techniques with experience in invitro fertilization.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent written skills; Communication skills with ability to interact with patients, staff and physicians.
