Job Description

SUMMARY

Primary responsibility to for a variety of duties related to washing dishes in potroom, sanitation of potroom and storeroom, and assisting with receiving, storage and dispensing of food and related dietary supplies.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Cleans pots and pans using pot machine as required. Cleans serviceware using dish machine as required.
  • 2. Maintains general work area in clean and orderly manner. Checks equipment to ensure proper temperatures are registering. Records temperatures daily in log. Uses disposable gloves when working, and observes sanitation procedures before handling utensils or food items. Cleans workstation thoroughly before leaving area for other assignment. Checks out with Manager/Supervisor on duty.
  • 3. Cleans all foodservice equipment and maintains sanitation in kitchen.
  • 4. Performs inventory control. Receives and fills requisitions and floorstock accurately. Maintains accurate records and inventory control log. Maintains all storage areas in a clean and orderly condition, follows HACCP. Follows first in, first out procedures. Maintains receiving log for product temperature at time of delivery. Anticipates foreseeable demands when receiving deliveries or stocking supplies.
  • 5. Performs other related duties as necessary including the following. Fills nourishment/requisition requests orders daily and makes deliveries. Fills floor stock requests daily and makes deliveries.
  • 6. Attends in-service meetings as required.
  • 7. Demonstrates proper body mechanics when lifting or moving, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, wiping, pushing, organizing, restocking or storage of materials.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

 

High School graduate or GED required **Employees employed by YNHH effective 9/12/2012 as a result of the acquisition of the Hospital of St Raphael may meet educational requirements with the applicable combination of education and experience and demonstration of current competences.

 

EXPERIENCE

 

Six (6) months to one (1) year in the food service industry required.

 

SPECIAL SKILLS

 

Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must be able to stand in one place for up to three (3) hours. Must be able to push and pull convent truck. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to maintain inventory control log and equipment temperature log. Must be able to perform similar or related duties as required or directed.

 

Additional Information

THIS POSITION IS COVERED BY THE TEAMSTERS COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT

Minimum -  $15.00/hr.

Maximum - $22.28/hr
