The Coordinator of Quality and Safety is responsible for the management of clinical/regulatory safety and quality adherence for all YNHHS Oncology sites. The Coordinator identifies opportunities to improve patient safety and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) projects and programs designed to reduce errors, improve processes, and to create mindfulness culture for patient safety all while adhering to the regulatory guidelines set for by TJC, ACR, DPH and other regulatory bodies.
Bachelor's Degree degree in Radiation therapy or health or quality assurance related field required; Master's Degree preferred.
Experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirements; Minimum of five years? experience in a Radiation Oncology setting. Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as well as proficiency in MS office Word and Excel and computer skills.
Registered and in good standing with; the American Registry of Radiological Technologists in Radiation Therapy (ARRT), Certified Medical Dosimetry (CMD), Oncology certified Nurse (OCN) or other related field certificate is highly preferred.
Bachelor of Science preferred. Radiation therapy experience preferred. Must be able to work independently and have excellent computer and organizational skills. Must be self motivated and willing to work flexible hours as necessary.
