YNHH Digestive Health seeks to achieve the highest level of safe and effective care as well as exceptional performance. The Safety & Quality Performance Improvement Coordinator will lead a broad range of efforts aimed to support and improve clinical quality improvement performance and ensure promotion and sustainability of a highly reliable safety culture. The incumbent must interface with management, staff, and clinicians using a high level of interpersonal skills to effectively function within a broad and complex environment.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing required. MSN in Nursing or Healthcare related field preferred. Connecticut RN license required.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years medical/surgical nursing experience. Safety experience preferred. Performance improvement methodology trained preferred. History of leading successful improvement work.
LICENSURE:
Connecticut RN license desired
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) by the National Association for Healthcare Quality preferred or willingness to become certified within two years hire or
Certified Professional in Patient Safety within 2 years hire
SPECIAL SKILLS
Excellent communication skills Ability to coordinate and organize complex projects Able to work independently Strong computer skills including: Excel and Power Point Training in Change Acceleration Process (CAP) and Workout preferred.
