Works collaboratively with the NM displaying leadership in management, clinical practice, performance improvement and staff development in accordance with the overall philosophy and goals of Patient Care Services. In the absence of the NM, he/she is responsible for the direction of patient care as well as patient care activities, unit operations, and staff functions. This position is 80% administrative and 20% clinical
Minimum of 2 years experience as Registered Nurse in a critical care setting. Ability to work in fast paced work environment, multi-task and prioritize clinical and administrative duties. Clinical experience, precepting and educating of staff and/o experience in project management and quality management activities. Experience in customer service.
Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut. ACLS required.
Prior charge/leadership experience strongly preferred. Demonstrated leadership abilities Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Requires prolonged standing; walking; use of sight,hearing and touch; moving/lifting patients of varying weights.
