The Perinatal Coordinator will work in coordination with the Perinatologists to provide optimal care to high Risk Maternity patients. She will serve as an educational resource and liaison to other departments coordinating Perinatal Education by assessing, developing and implement programs within the functional areas of continuing education.
BSN, MSN preferred
Current seven (7) years clinical nursing experience in Labor and Delivery or Perinatal Nursing.
RN in State of Connecticut; AWHONN Fetal monitor Certification; Certified Diabetic Educator preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to motivate and teach patients and staff. Ability to develop and coordinate education programs. Clinical proficiency, strong leadership/management, coordination, evaluation and clinical judgement skills required. Abillity to multi-task and prioritize accordingly.
Works in clinical, office and classroom settings. A flexible work schedule will be indicated to accommodate classes and the needs of the department.
