Performs a wide range of administrative support and data entry duties and coordinates a multitude of office procedures in support of the activities of the Resource Support Unit (RSU). Determines the proper allocation of RSU staff to the inpatient care units. Service Excellence, collaboration, teamwork, technical expertise, positive impact and problem solving are critical skills necessary for this position. Additional activities may be required at the request of the department and/or manager to ensure safe, effective and efficient operations of the facility. Patient and family centered care (PFCC) at Bridgeport Hospital (BH) is demonstrated by working with patients and their families based on the 4 principles of PFCC: participation, dignity and respect, information sharing, and collaboration. This includes providing service excellence by creating a great "First Impression" by demonstrating exemplary customer service skills for all customer groups including patients, families/friends, physicians, staff and department personnel. Adheres to the "I Am YNHHS" service excellence pledge and promotes a positive work environment. Maintains HR files, Kronos editing, orientation materials, ongoing in-service preparation and record keeping.
Minuimum High School Diploma or equivalent GED is required.
Experience with payroll software is preferred. Experience in healthcare environment is preferred. Experience and efficiency in computer skills with Microsoft Office software highly preferred. Experience with payroll and scheduling software in healthcare. Experience and efficient with computer skills and Microsoft office.
Full time; Mon-Fri, occasional weekends
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and data entry preferred. Strong customer service, attention to detail, and effective communication skills are required. Able to work in a fast paced environment. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
