The orientation is designed for new graduate RNs who are looking for an entry-level nursing position on a med-surg unit. The nurses hired into this program will receive up to a 9 week specialized orientation Shifts will vary and may change based on assignment. Special skills taught include telemetry, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and a special focus on geriatrics and patient centered care.
All new graduate RNs will be automatically enrolled in a one year Nurse Residency Program that is designed to support the transition from academia to professional nursing practice. The program focus is on nursing leadership, quality outcomes, and the professional role.
Bridgeport Hospital is hiring for New Graduate Registered Nurses within the medical-surgical areas of the hospital to start in Spring/Summer 2021.
Shifts are assigned based on the needs of the hiring unit.
To qualify, candidates must have an anticipated graduation date of May-August 2021. Interest in general medicine nursing is required.
Selected candidates will be asked to complete references via an email link. References should include a minimum of 2 clinical instructors and 1 work reference.

LICENSURE: CT State RN License eligible
